How timecoded comments work

When your client watches a video, any comment they leave is automatically stamped with the current playback time. This means you always know exactly which moment in the video they are referring to.

For reviewers: Play the video and pause at the moment you want to comment on. Type your comment in the sidebar and click Add. The timestamp is captured automatically.

For creators: Comments appear in the sidebar with timestamps. Click any comment to jump directly to that moment in the video.

Timecodes are displayed in both standard time format (0:00) and SMPTE timecode format, depending on your preference.

Project-level comments: If a reviewer types a comment without pausing at a specific moment, or leaves a comment on a non-video file type, it is treated as a project-level comment and shown with a blue "Project" badge. This makes it easy to distinguish general feedback from frame-specific notes when reviewing.

Reviewer confirmation: when a reviewer submits a comment, a green "Saved and sent" badge appears on that comment card for a few seconds. This confirms the feedback was received so there is no ambiguity about whether the comment went through.
