Uploading and comparing file versions

Every approval request keeps its full version history. Uploading a revision creates V2, V3 and so on, and the review link and short link never change, so your reviewer keeps using the link they already have.

To upload a new version: open the request, click the version badge at the top and choose "Upload V(n)". Select or drag in one or more files, add an optional note describing what changed, then click the Upload button. Nothing is uploaded until you click it, so you can add files, remove any you picked by mistake, and write your note first.

The version note is worth filling in. It appears next to the version number for both you and your reviewer, which saves a round of "what changed in this one?" emails.

For reviewers: if a request has more than one version, the badge at the top of the review page reads "Viewing V(n)" and opens a menu of every version with its note. Selecting an earlier version shows that file in the viewer for reference. Earlier versions are read only, so commenting, annotating and downloading stay pointed at the current version, which is the one your decision applies to. Use "Back to V(n)" or pick the latest version from the menu to return.

Uploading a new version resets the request to Pending and emails your reviewer that a new version is ready. New versions never count toward your request limit.
