Exporting feedback as Markdown

You can export all comments on a request as a formatted Markdown (.md) file for use in project management tools, edit notes, or client records.

To export: Open the request detail page, click the download icon in the top-right toolbar, and select "Export feedback as .md" from the dropdown. A file is downloaded immediately, no data leaves File Approved in any other way.

The exported file includes the request name, file name, status, and export date at the top, followed by every comment in order. Each comment shows the reviewer name, timestamp, and any relevant metadata such as timecodes for video comments, page numbers for PDF comments, line numbers for comments on a text or code file, or a "Pin" label for frame-pinned comments.

On a request with several files, each comment is labelled with the file it belongs to, so a single export still reads correctly when the feedback is spread across a whole batch.

If the request has multiple revision rounds, each round is separated clearly in the export.

The export is disabled if there are no comments on the request.

Copying one comment: every comment has a small copy icon at the end of its header row, on the request page, the review link and the shared view alike. Click it and the comment text lands on your clipboard, ready to paste into an edit list, a task or a reply. It copies the words the reviewer wrote, without the badges, so a page or line marker is not pasted along with it. The icon turns into a tick for a moment to confirm the copy.
