Watermarking files your client downloads

When you allow client downloads on a request, the downloaded file can carry a watermark. This lets you share work for review without handing over a clean, final-quality copy.

Turning it on: in the create request modal, the "Watermark on download" option sits under the download toggle. It is on by default. If you turn client downloads off entirely, the watermark setting no longer applies, because nothing is being downloaded.

Which logo is used: on the Pro plan the watermark uses the logo you uploaded under Branding in Settings. On the Free plan it uses the File Approved mark. If you are on Pro but have not uploaded a logo yet, the watermark defaults to off rather than falling back to our branding on your client work.

What gets watermarked: images and video. Images are watermarked at the moment your client downloads them. Video is prepared when the request is created, so a long video may take a few minutes after upload before the watermarked copy is ready.

Watermarks also apply inside a "Download all as ZIP", so a bulk download is no different from saving each file one at a time.

Documents such as PDFs and Office files are not watermarked. If you need those protected, use password protection or account-required access instead, or turn client downloads off and keep the review view-only.
